SURBAN - database on sustainable urban development in Europe This is the testversion of the database on internet. It provides access to detailed information on cases of good practice in European urban development. EA.UE has developed the system with the support of Land Berlin Ministry for Urban Development, Environmental Protection and Technology and the European Commission Directorate General Environment, on behalf of the Expert Group on the Urban Environment, which was set up by the Commission in 1991. The database is regularly added to and updated. As we know, the Internet is the fastest way to access this kind of information - at least, from time to time. For other occasions the database is also available on CD with much mor sophisticated search features.
